PFA has a low coefficient of friction and therefore has excellent non-stick properties. It is a fairly soft polymer with high stress cracking resistance and resistance to almost all solvents and chemicals. PFA is also able to withstand high and low temperature conditions. It is capable of providing continuous service temperatures up to 260°C (500°F). PFA has excellent flame retardancy, chemical stability and high dielectric strength.
